South Pacific Weather Satellite Map and Loop

The Cook Islands Climate is a warm and tropical oceanic environment so a great location for your next South Pacific holiday. Click here for the current weather forecast for Rarotonga.

TemperatureDaily temperatures range only slightly, around 5 deg C (10 deg F). Being a Southern Hemisphere destination means that the summer (more humid) months fall between November and April and the winter (drier) months fall between May and October. However, annual variations in temperature are only slight from Max/Min range of 25/18 deg C for winter and a Max/Min range of 29/23 deg C in the summer. No matter when you visit the temperature will be warm and mild.

Rainfall is greatest in the summer months, when the days are more humid and prone to afternoon tropical bursts. Like all tropical regions, cyclones are a possibility. When they do occur, they happen in the summer months, though severe weather is not experienced very often.
